TERM AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE INTERNATIONAL SEABED AUTHORITY WEBSITE

This web site (“the Site”) is maintained and administered by the International Seabed Authority. All material on this site appears subject to the present terms and conditions and the use of this web site constitutes agreement with such terms and conditions.

1. The information presented on this Site is for informative purposes only.  The International Seabed Authority grants permission to those who may choose to access the Site (“Users”) to download and copy the information, documents and materials from the Site for the User’s personal, non-commercial use, without any rights to resell or redistribute them or to compile or create derivative works and there from, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below and also subject to more specific restrictions that may apply to specific material within this site.

Materials provided on this Site are provided without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.  The International Seabed Authority specifically does not make any warranty or representation as to the accuracy or completeness of any such materials. The Authority periodically adds, changes, improves or updates the materials on this site without notice.  Under no circumstances shall the Authority, members of its staff and its contractors be liable for any loss, damage, liability or expense incurred or suffered that is claimed to have resulted from the use of this Site.

All maps and charts contained on this Site are indicative only of claimed and potential maritime limits, including the extent of the Area, and are not to be used for navigation purposes.
4. Nothing herein shall constitute or be considered to be a limitation upon or a waiver of the privileges and immunities of the International Seabed Authority, which are specifically reserved.

The International Seabed Authority reserves its exclusive right in its sole discretion to alter, limit or discontinue the Site or any materials in any respect.  The Authority shall have no obligation to take the needs of any User into consideration in connection therewith. The Authority reserves the right to deny in its sole discretion any User access to the site or any portion thereof without notice.  No waiver by the Authority of any provision of these terms and conditions shall be binding except as set forth in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative.
6. Certain images on this Site may be subject to copyright.  If you find contact information in the image, please contact the respective owner/photographer for permission before using any of the images.
7. This Site may contain advice, opinions and statements of various information providers. The International Seabed Authority does not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any advice, opinion, statement or information provided by any information provider, any User of this Site or any other entity.
