Madam Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority, Leticia Carvalho, personally extended a warm welcome to the Permanent Secretary of Jamaica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, H. E. Ambassador Sheila Sealy Monteith, during her visit to the ISA Headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica.
The meeting provided a moment to reflect on the strong partnership and unity between the ISA and host country of Jamaica, and an opportunity to reaffirm close alignments and shared priorities.
The leaders discussed the importance of advancing holistic ocean governance, upholding multilateralism, and protecting the principles of sustainable development; as well as exploring closer cooperation and coordination in the years ahead.
