WORKING GROUPS

Group 1 : Address state of the art collector devices; collaboration among contractors testing their collectors; analyze exploration data and estimates of mineable areas with a view to identifying where standardization is required in the CCZ and the CIOB
Chaired by: Ted Brockett  | Report

Group 2 :  Address guidelines for estimation of mineable resources and reserves as per international reporting standards and the steps required to implement them; address issues arising from the differences in national reporting standards and how it can be resolved and its translation for deep seabed mineral resources to help contractors standardize classification of polymetallic nodule resources into proven, probable and possible reserves of metal
Chaired by: Pat Stephenson | Report

Group 3 : Determine the amount of work required by each contractor to complete the resource classification exercise for their respective areas and how long it would take
Chaired by: Georgy Cherkashov | Report
