H.E. Mr. Akramul Qader, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented his credentials as the Permanent Representative of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Secretary-General of the Authority on 3 April 2013.

Ambassador Qader is a career diplomat in the rank of a state minister and  currently serves as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United States, with responsibility for Mexico and Columbia.

His previous assignments include postings to Belgium, South Africa, India, the far east, and the appointment as Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.

Ambassador Qader earned his master’s degree in Islamic History from the University in Dhaka, and attended a Foreign Service Training Course in Australia.
