Applications are now open for two financially supported internship opportunities with the International Seabed Authority (ISA), in cooperation with the National Oceanography Centre (NOC), UK, to candidates from developing States.

ISA is calling for Bachelor, Master or PhD graduates from a range of disciplines, including computer science, marine biology, geology and environment, with experience in marine scientific research or data management systems, to take part in a two-month internship within the Office of Environmental Management and Mineral Resources (OEMMR).

The ISA internship programme provides an opportunity for students, graduates and young government officials to gain exposure to the work of ISA, and enables the ISA Secretariat to benefit from the assistance of qualified candidates with specialized in skills within the scope of activities of ISA. 

Both internship opportunities will receive financial support in the amount of USD$ 5,000 each and are scheduled to begin on 1 June 2020 at the ISA Headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica. Applications must be submitted by Friday, 6 March 2020.
