SG with  H.E. Deryck Lance Murray of Trinidad and Tobago

The Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) Mr. Michael W. Lodge welcomed H.E. Deryck Lance Murray, as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to ISA, on 14 February 2020

Ambassador Murray was recently appointed as High Commissioner-designate of Trinidad and Tobago to Jamaica. He has extensive experience in the financial services industry and has served as representative to the United Nations in New York, where he held the positions of Vice-Chairman of the Fifth Committee and Chairman of the Committee for Programme and Coordination. 
Receiving the Ambassador’s official credentials, Mr. Lodge highlighted the important contribution Trinidad and Tobago has made to the work of ISA over the years.

“Trinidad and Tobago has been an active member of the Latin American and Caribbean States Group since ISA was established 25 years ago, and we look forward to continuing our long-standing and productive relationship under Ambassador Murray’s leadership.”

Ambassador Murray is a Cambridge University Graduate. He also held the position of Director and then Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago transparency Institute, the local branch of the anti-corruption organisation Transparency International from 2010 to 2016.
